ULTRUS Learning – LearnShare™

Independently verifiable credentials, qualifications and diplomas

Many industries require validation of workers’ training credentials prior to granting access to restricted areas. For example, construction workers may need proof of The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training before being allowed to work. In other industries, visiting sales or field service personnel may need proof of training in order to access sensitive areas like operating rooms, ICUs and clean rooms. As employees complete training or obtain certifications, it’s crucial that anyone can immediately verify these credentials. With new updates to the UL Solutions LearnShare product, you can:

  • Scan a QR code on a diploma
  • Get evidence that the diploma is up to date
  • Approve workers who are qualified, thus supporting safety and compliance

This is especially important for people who complete OSHA 10/30 training. Instead of having to wait for an OSHA card to be physically mailed, workers may be allowed to start right away by presenting a verifiable diploma.

ULTRUS Renewable - Windnavigator

UL Solutions launches new 2024 North American wind maps in Windnavigator software

Originally launched over a decade ago, UL Solutions Windnavigator platform has just reached a significant milestone with the release of the 2024 North American wind maps. This update expands the platform’s capabilities, introducing features specifically designed for the North American market. The new wind maps offer more precise data at greater heights (up to 300 meters) and incorporate the latest advancements in wind modeling technology. This provides developers and operators with valuable insights for their projects.

Key enhancements include:
  • Expanded Met Mast database: UL Solutions’ wind database contains close to 5,000 observations in North America, which corresponds to 2.5 times more observations than our original map, providingcomprehensive coverage and the most up-to-date wind measurements.
  • Improved wind speeds: Notable improvements have been implemented due to the sheer amount of data available and the upgraded modeling system based on Weather research and forecasting(WRF) and ERA5 data, providing critical insights into evolving wind patterns.
  • Advanced modeling techniques: Powered by the latest WRF model and ERA5 reanalysis, the 2024 maps offer more reliable wind speeds with greater accuracy and lower uncertainties.

3DMark®

Test the latest version of Intel XeSS in 3DMark®

Gamers’ demands for smooth gaming experiences have only increased over time, and new upscaling technologies such as Intel Xe Super Sampling (XeSS) help gamers get every frame possible from their PCs. Updates to these technologies promise further performance and image quality improvements, but it is often difficult to quickly compare the impact of these updates.

Developed with input from Intel to provide a best-practice implementation of XeSS, UL Solutions’ new XeSS 1.3.1 update for 3DMark allows customers to compare the latest XeSS version’s performance and image quality improvements against previous versions of XeSS or against traditional rendering techniques.
