How to onboard as a UL Solutions supplier

UL Solutions has enhanced its supplier onboarding process by implementing Graphite Connect, our secure, third-party platform for submitting and managing supplier information. 

This platform maintains data security and compliance by restricting access to supplier information. Only authorized individuals designated by the supplier’s organization can access it, and they are responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date commercial information within the platform, which will be integrated into the UL Solutions payment system. Failure to do so may result in payment delays. 

Please see below for instructions on completing your onboarding via Graphite Connect. 

New suppliers

Suppliers will receive an invitation to register directly from Graphite Connect (no-reply@graphiteconnect.com), not from UL Solutions. If you do not see this email in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder. 

Your email invitation will look like the example to the right. 

Upon receipt, complete all sections of the registration and submit your information via the platform for review. 

Once your submission is received, UL Solutions will review your details and notify you once the review is complete. Only approved suppliers will be authorized to transact with UL Solutions. 

UL Solutions cannot issue purchase orders or process payments until onboarding has been successfully completed and approved. 

Existing suppliers

If you are an existing UL Solutions supplier already registered with Graphite Connect, please check that your profile information is accurate and up to date.  

If you have not yet been asked to register, UL Solutions may invite you to complete onboarding through Graphite Connect. This will help confirm that your details are current within our financial systems. 

UL Solutions will notify you of a forthcoming invitation from Graphite Connect. Next, Graphite Connect will send the invitation. It will arrive directly from Graphite Connect (no-reply@graphiteconnect.com), not from UL Solutions. If you do not see this email in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder. Do not register until you receive that invitation.

FAQs

Our Global Strategic Sourcing team manages partnerships between UL Solutions and our suppliers. You can reach them on the supplier portal page. 

The invitation will come from Graphite Connect, not from UL Solutions. The email address of the sender is no-reply@graphiteconnect.com. 

No. You will only be able to register after you receive the invitation from Graphite Connect. 

If you are already registered through Graphite Connect for other customers, UL Solutions will still initiate the connection, and Graphite Connect will issue the invitation. 

If, after 24 hours, you have not received your invitation to register, please contact your UL Solutions business contact. 

The process time can vary per supplier. Registration is a straightforward series of steps to create an account, provide your company’s information and complete the required risk assessments.  

You can speed up the process if you are prepared with your tax information (e.g., your W9) and the information for a secondary user at your company (to verify your banking information and to aid in account recovery). Watch the video below for an overview of the process. 

Be prepared to provide your company's commercial information (e.g., company name, address, tax information, banking details, contact information, etc.). You will also be asked to answer selected vendor risk assessments (e.g., data privacy)
