ESG reporting
Tom leads the UL 360 ESG Data Management Software product team that helps customers measure, manage and reduce their environmental impact, including Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon footprints. He works with customers to find technological solutions through software to address the emerging regulatory and voluntary challenges of sustainability. These efforts include setting science-based targets to meet emerging regulations under the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CRSD). In a previous role, Tom helped develop standards for corporate carbon accounting and co-authored “Greenhouse Gas Protocol Technical Guidance for Calculating Scope 3 Emissions.”
Product carbon footprint
With a commitment to a more sustainable future, Tom is developing software offerings that help customers track the carbon footprints of the products they buy and sell. In prior roles, he has conducted several product carbon footprints to PAS 2050 and ISO 14067 standards, and worked on the world’s first on-pack carbon label for products and services of Partnership for Carbon Transparency (PACT).
