First Single-Pair Ethernet Performance Verification Issued to Linkz Cables Limited

UL Solutions announced that it issued its first performance verification to Linkz Cables Limited for its single-pair Ethernet (SPE) cables in accordance with ANSI/TIA-568.5, the Standard for Balanced Single Twisted-pair Telecommunications Cabling and Components Standard. The SPE cables are verified to determine that the cables meet the latest published requirements.

ANSI/TIA-568.5 specifies the transmission performance requirements for Category SP1-1000 and SP1-400 cables at 1000 meters and 400 meters, respectively, with a frequency range of 0.1 MHz-20 MHz in support of 10Base-T1L and 10Base-T1S applications.

Linkz Cables Limited is the first company to offer third-party verified SPE cables based on ANSI/TIA-568.5. UL Solutions verified the following cable constructions as compliant with the performance requirements.
