Tools: DAkks Scope Expansion and GS Accreditation

We are pleased to share that UL International Germany GmbH, with offices and laboratories in Neu-Isenburg, Germany, near Frankfurt am Main, is now authorized to provide reports for German accreditation body Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS) and Geprüfte Sicherheit (GS) safety mark for the first and second parts of the IEC 62841-1 standard according to ISO 17025.

A team of safety experts is on location to issue GS reports, providing evidence that products fulfill strict German product safety laws, thereby enhancing customer confidence in those products.

UL International Germany GmbH is a subsidiary of UL Solutions, a global leader in safety science, and has been a well-established certification body (CB) testing laboratory for several product categories since 2001. It helps customers achieve global market access in conjunction with UL Solutions’ national certification body (NCB) and UL Demko.

A number of elements work together to reinforce UL Solutions’ presence in Europe:

• The expansion of the DAkkS scope to include the tool category
• The first edition of IEC 62841-1, together with IEC 62841-2-1 to -6 and -11
• Our accreditation, enabling us to provide GS certification
