UL Solutions, a global leader in applied safety science, has issued its first global Marketing Claim Verification Marks for Micromobility Performance to Segway-Ninebot for various models of electric scooters, and the manufacturer spotlighted these achievements at a Jan. 8 ceremony during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.
For more than 10 years, UL Solutions has championed the research and development of micromobility devices such as e-scooters and e-bikes, providing technical expertise to help manufacturers bring products to market safely and efficiently.
In addition to helping companies demonstrate that their products meet safety standards, UL Solutions helps companies confirm that the marketing and advertising claims they make are accurate, truthful and credible. A UL Marketing Claim Verification helps distinguish products from ones that offer self-declared or unsubstantiated claims, aiding consumers in their purchase decisions and providing peace of mind.
The UL Marketing Claim Verification provides important information for consumers seeking micromobility products such as electric scooters or e-bikes.
The UL Verified Mark acknowledges that objective, science-based assessments have confirmed that the F3 Pro and F3 eKickScooter models have accurate performance claims for the devices’ range, energy consumption and water resistance. Additionally, a UL Verified Mark acknowledges that the MAX G3 eKickScooter has accurate performance claims for that device’s range, energy consumption, acceleration, charge time and water resistance.
These verifications can contribute to the global momentum of the micromobility sector. UL Solutions supports manufacturers around the world seeking to achieve objective verification for the validity of specific advertising or promotional statements.
Consumers can find the UL Verified Mark in user manuals and on e-scooters, e-bikes, packaging and the manufacturers’ websites. Assessment details for UL Verified marketing claims are posted on the publicly available UL Verify database.
The UL Solutions engineering workforce and laboratories for micromobility span four continents and more than a dozen locations, supporting customers around the world.
