UL Solutions Welcomes New Project Manager to the Codes and Regulatory Services Team

Simon Ince has joined the Codes and Regulatory Services (CARS) department at UL Solutions as a project manager.

Simon Ince has joined the Codes and Regulatory Services (CARS) department at UL Solutions as a project manager. In his new role Simon will continue his active engagement with UK regulatory authorities and expand UL Solutions’ outreach with European regulatory and industry organizations.

Simon joined UL Solutions in May 2019 as a project engineer, moving to a product specialist role within the company before joining the CARS team earlier this year.
 
Simon is a pragmatic fire safety specialist with a vocational approach to helping built environment stakeholders identify and comply with model code and regulatory and business safety requirements. He has a strong understanding of fire risk management and extensive experience, including fire risk assessments implementation of fire risk management strategies, fire safety training and auditing existing management systems.
 
Through his practical experience in the built environment, Simon has a solid working knowledge of regulatory requirements and supporting guidance. He also has industry-specific experience in quality assurance, fire safety testing, third-party fire safety certification and fire safety consultancy. His varied background enables him to assist customers in meeting regulatory requirements, and he can also transfer existing fire risk and compliance knowledge across other product and service sectors.
 
Simon is an active professional, which has helped him develop a solid professional network with peers. He contributes to the broader fire community by presenting at events, writing articles, contributing to sector panels, sitting on industry award-judging panels and working with professional bodies and associations.
