In response, we now offer a Technical Evaluation Developer program to improve the content and quality of engineering decisions. Service providers who complete the program demonstrate comprehensive knowledge regarding testing, evaluation and certification schemes and requirements. 

After a participant completes the program, they can access our Product iQ^®, our powerful certification database that connects them with business opportunities and end users seeking superior technical evaluations of firestopping products.

Service providers who successfully complete the qualification program demonstrate comprehensive knowledge regarding testing, evaluation and certification schemes and requirements. Upon completion of the initial product audits, participants who test their staff knowledge and conform with UL Solutions program requirements have their name published as an authorized service provider in Product iQ.    
Any established UL Solutions customer applicant with UL  certified products to U.S., Canadian or European standards can participate in the program.

• The Technical Evaluation Developer program increases the level of scrutiny for technical evaluations through the key points of the program, including personnel examinations, robust quality management scheme audits and periodic laboratory testing of written evaluation concepts.

UL Solutions experts, working with the UL Standards & Engagement organization and other groups, help create and develop firestopping standards and compliance programs globally. Our principal engineer for firestopping represents UL in various standards development activities, including UL Standards & Engagement, ULC, ISO and ASTM standards committees.

• Our teams based in Warrington, U.K., and Rosenheim, Germany, collaborate and help develop product compliance and certification standards for the U.K. and Europe through the UKCA and various CEN committees. Other staff represent UL Solutions in local code and standard development activities in Brazil, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Australia and New Zealand. UL Solutions is an accredited Notified Body for the U.K. and Europe for firestopping products.
• Code enforcement officials and buyers rely on the UL Certification Mark on fire-resistant products, systems and assemblies to provide confidence that those products and systems meet regulatory and market requirements.
