Jeffrey Fecteau is an International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI) and International Code Council certified inspector and plans examiner for electrical installations. He is also certified as a building official, electrical code official, building code official and housing code official. Jeffrey assists inspectors, designers and installers with information to determine safe and code compliant installations. He provides National Electric Code® presentations and promotes the understanding and installation procedures of UL Listed products.
Career and education
Before coming to UL Solutions, Jeffrey worked as building inspector 3 for the City of Bloomington, Ill., and spent more than eight years as a senior electrical inspector in Peoria, Ariz. He earned an electrical apprenticeship from Career One in Phoenix, Ariz. Jeffrey also spent four years teaching the second-year electrical apprentice program at Maricopa Community College.

Awards and achievements
Jeffrey has published more than a dozen articles through The Code Authority (TCA) and the TCA-Electrical Connection, such as “Electric Vehicle Charging Systems.” The topics he covers in his published works include code requirements of electrical connections, industrial control panels, electric signs, photovoltaic equipment, wind electrical equipment, electric vehicle (EV) charging equipment, luminaire and sign retrofits, and generators. He has been a presenter of numerous webinars and speaker at conferences about building code topics and new and innovative technologies.
Jeffrey is also a member of the William Henry Merrill Society (WHMS). Established in 2006, the WHMS formally recognizes UL Solutions employees who have made significant and sustained contributions to the fulfillment of UL Solutions’ public safety mission for a safer, more secure and more sustainable today and tomorrow.
