UL Solutions Limited Production Certification program gives manufacturers the opportunity to ship a limited quantity of UL Certified products without initiating UL Solutions Follow-Up Services, which includes ongoing inspections and annual fees.
The Limited Production Certification fits well between UL Solutions other service offerings, such as our Listing program and Field Evaluations. All requirements of the Listing program are applied and a dedicated label, which includes a UL Mark and unique serial number, will be created and attached to the product.
How it works
The Limited Production Certification is applicable to a limited batch of production systems in a limited timeframe. The construction review and evaluation can be done at UL Solutions or a client’s facility. Any necessary testing may be conducted at UL Solutions, a client’s facility or the installation site (depending on the test).
When the product certification is complete, UL Solutions representatives will confirm the entire batch of samples meet the requirements of the standard and will witness the UL Mark being applied to the whole batch.
