In order to comply with the mandatory NOM Energy Efficiency standards in Mexico, testing must be conducted in local laboratories. However, on Aug. 21, 2020, UL’s facility in Mexico became the first certification organization (CO) with approval from DGN and the National Commission for the Efficient Use of Energy (CONUEE) to carry out the energy efficiency testing outside Mexico in UL’s laboratories or manufacturers laboratories under the UL Data Acceptance Program (DAP).

Manufacturers and importers having products under the above-mentioned NOM standards can carry out energy efficiency testing outside Mexico in UL’s laboratories and/or manufacturers laboratories under the UL Data Acceptance Program (DAP).
UL’s facility in Mexico keeps up to date with local regulations in order to support manufacturers and importers to be up to date with new regulations. Following this commitment, UL’s facility in Mexico received the accreditation for:
