The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change (MoEUCC) has published the awaited amendment to the Regulation on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and Restriction of Chemicals (KKDIK) on Dec. 23, 2023, through Official Gazette number 32408.
This amendment is pursuant to the draft Regulation, published in November 2023, amending the KKDIK Regulation and declaring the extension of registration periods and deadlines and the guidelines on joint registration process that would be decided within principles set and to be published by the Ministry.
According to this amendment, the registration deadlines for substances manufactured or imported into Türkiye, on their own or within a mixture and/or an article are extended as follows:
Extended to Dec. 31, 2026
- Substances >= 1000 tonne/year
- Substances classified as Aquatic Acute 1 and Aquatic Chronic 1 (H400, H410) at >=100 tonne/year
- CMR substances (Category 1A and 1B) at >= 1 tonne/year
Extended to Dec. 31, 2028
- Substances at 100 – 1000 tonne/year
Extended to Dec. 31, 2030
- Substances at 1-100 tonne/year
