UL International (UK) Ltd and UL International (Netherlands) B.V. gained Approved Body status in the UK and a Notified Body Status in Europe for construction products
Europe was one large single market, now it’s two. Both the EU and the U.K. require manufacturers to declare their conformity assessments in slightly different ways.
UL has Notified Bodies/U.K. Approved Bodies in both the U.K. and EU to deliver the required product testing and certification that building and construction manufacturers need to sell products across the regions. Further UL regulatory capability covers electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), personal protection equipment (PPE), Construction Products Regulation (CPR) and Marine Equipment Directive (MED) for the whole region.
UL can accept data, when possible, from third parties to support UKCA and/or CE marking. Our aim is to minimize business disruption and costs during this uncertain post-Brexit time.
