UL, in partnership with the Advanced Remanufacturing and Technology Centre (ARTC), will host an exclusive training program on “Design for Additive Manufacturing (AM).” The five-day hands-on training course will take place at ARTC from August 17-21, 2015. ARTC is Asia’s first centre for test-bedding and developing manufacturing technologies.
Based upon UL’s comprehensive AM training curriculum and technical courses, the customized program will assist professional designers, practicing engineers and skilled technicians in gaining a working knowledge of techniques for effective AM designs that are manufacturable, functional and compliant.
The Design for AM course will help students:
- Capture benefits of AM through effective design techniques;
- Transition from traditional design techniques and build a foundation for applying DFMA principles to Additive Manufacturing;
- Develop robust design strategies through hands-on experiential sessions and simulations.
To help launch these courses, the ARTC is also partnering with the Singapore Workforce Development Agency (WDA) to provide subsidies to Singapore citizens and permanent residents. Other partners for the educational program include Dassault Systems, Skills Training for Excellence Programme (STEP) and e2i.To learn more or register for the course, please visit the course description page or email additivemanufacturing@ul.com.
