UL Solutions and CFEL to Collaborate on Fire Door Testing

Seoul, South Korea –  UL Solutions, a global leader in applied safety science, and CFEL have entered into an agreement, to cooperate on fire door testing and assessment for global market access. 

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), signed during a ceremony on Sept. 14, 2022, at UL Solutions offices in Seoul, South Korea, formalized the relationship between the two companies. 

“The cooperation of UL Solutions and CFEL advances our capabilities through shared resources and expertise regarding fire door performance testing,” said Yun Chung, regional managing director in South Korea for UL Solutions. “UL Solutions is well versed in fire door safety requirements and offers the technical know-how needed to meet the needs of our customers. Our team in South Korea welcomes the agreement with CFEL, and we look forward to working together to help bring safer fire doors to the market.” 

“Once the designation of the laboratory is completed, we intend to develop CFEL's international capabilities by discovering new overseas testing demands through continuous technological cooperation and actively responding to the testing and certification market," Hong Kim, director of CFEL, said.
