EN61770 is the European version of the International Standard IEC 61770. This standard specifies requirements for household and professional appliances to prevent back siphonage of non-potable water into the water mains. It also specifies requirements for hose sets used for connecting such appliances to the water mains.
A new version will be released in September 2021 - Amendment A11 - specific to all European countries. The new version will include a major update that will impact all products connected to the main water supply at home, in restaurants, hotels and businesses, with products like coffee machines, dish washers, washing machines and dryers, vending machines, American refrigerators, etc.
