Watch the video: Vehicle to Grid and EV Power Export
This session will provide an overview of recent updates on the efforts centered around the vehicle-to-grid (V2G) AC standard development of Supplement SC to UL 1741, the Standard for Inverters, Converters, Controllers and Interconnection System Equipment for Use with Distributed Energy Resources. Additionally, this session will also cover binational safety Standard UL 9741/CSA 348, the Standard for Electric Vehicle Power Export Equipment (EVPE).
UL 1741 SC is a new Standard development initiative to create requirements for bidirectional electric vehicle supply equipment (BEVSE) and interconnection systems equipment (ISE) for electric vehicles (EVs) with bidirectional onboard inverters. UL 9741/CSA 348 is a new binational standard for EVPE equipment that addresses both unidirectional and bidirectional equipment connected to an EV. This session will provide the audience with an overview of these two standards and cover recent developments from working groups and Standards Technical Panels (STPs).
