Automotive SPICE and Extensions

Data Management SPICE®

Learn how to apply the Automotive SPICE® model to projects, products, services and organizations dealing with data.

This training introduces Data Management SPICE, the data management model extension for Automotive SPICE®. The training will expand Automotive SPICE® assessors’ knowledge base so they can apply it to projects, products, services and organizations dealing with data. The training is designed for intacs®-certified assessors of all levels with experience in data management.

The training is a prerequisite to the Competent- and Principal-level requirement to lead an assessment using Data Management SPICE.

The Data Management SPICE model can help organizations:

  • Reduce risks related to bad data, especially in connected vehicles, over-the-air (OTA) updates and connectivity services
  • Track data quality objectives throughout the data life cycle
  • Create an overall data management strategy
  • Identify the right architecture and platforms for data
  • Consistently monitor data quality in operations

The data management processes and their practices help assessors:

  • Harmonize interpretations of existing SPICE processes related to data management
  • Use a common terminology for assessing data management practices
  • Align ratings among assessors and ensure consistency of ratings

Participants gain first-hand knowledge from experts who were directly involved in setting up the Mechanical Development plug-in for Automotive SPICE®. A working group of the intacs® assessor cooperative developed the plug-in.

Key Takeaways

The training will address the following topics:

  • Process capability requirements in data management environments such as the automotive industry
  • Managing data and data quality across the full data life cycle
  • Ensuring data quality
  • Data planning, deployment and operations
  • Ensuring process capability expected by the automotive industry
  • Implementing best practices while achieving Automotive SPICE® expectations
  • Interpreting engineering and supporting processes connected to managing data.

Cancellation Policy

Contractual cancellation right

The registration can be cancelled free of charge 30 days before the training date, after which the following rules apply:

  • 30 days – 14 days before the start of the training: 50% of the participation fee
  • 14 days or less before the start of the training: 100% of the participation fee
  • This shall not apply when a substitute attendee is named. This is possible until the registration at the beginning of the event.

The relevant cut-off date for the calculation of the cancellation period is the first training day of a bindingly booked training.

The cancellation must be declared in writing and sent by email to the training provider.

Naming substitutes

The participant may, after receiving the registration confirmation, name a substitute in writing prior to the beginning of the seminar.

This change of reservation is free of charge; seminars spanning several days may be transferred only in their entirety, i.e. attended by one substitute.

Date cancellations and date changes

The training provider has the right to change the location of events and/or specify a different date as a substitute. The training provider also reserves the right to cancel dates for organizational reasons (e.g. number of participants too low, illness of the speaker at short notice).

The training provider will notify the participant of the cancellation and of the reason with-out undue delay and will attempt to change the participant's reservation, provided that he agrees to a different date or event location. Otherwise, the full amount of any already paid attendance fee will be refunded in the case of a cancellation; no further claims exist, particularly no refund of travel and/or accommodation cost.
