This training introduces participants to the scrum master’s role within a SAFe® organization in preparation for the SAFe Scrum Master exam.
This training introduces participants to the scrum master’s role within a SAFe® organization. The training’s content goes beyond the traditional scrum master training, which is normally limited to the fundamentals of scrum on a team level.
The training presents materials to help prepare participants to plan and implement successful program increments (PIs), which are key to aligning teams across a SAFe organization.
This training covers the key components of agile at scale development, explains how scrum is facilitated throughout the enterprise and shows participants how to execute iteration planning.
Participants also explore the role of a servant leader and coach in building high-performing agile teams learn techniques for coaching teams to deliver the maximum business value at scale. When a participant achieves SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification, it signifies that they have the knowledge to perform the role of scrum master in a SAFe environment, increasing their value to teams and organizations that are implementing SAFe.
This training is intended for project managers, team leaders, department managers, process improvement and quality assurance team members, scrum masters, and SAFe release train engineers who seek a better understanding of the scrum master role.

Participants will be registered at Scaled Agile Inc. and receive an entry link to the SAFe Scrum Master exam and SAFe community platform with training registration. Participants must attend both days of training to be eligible to take the SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) exam.
This web-based exam consists of 45 multiple-choice questions, which participants must complete in 90 minutes. The exam is in English. Participants must take the exam within 30 days after completing the training and must answer 73% of the questions correctly to pass the exam. A retake of the exam is possible.

The registration can be cancelled free of charge 30 days before the training date, after which the following rules apply:
The relevant cut-off date for the calculation of the cancellation period is the first training day of a bindingly booked training.
The cancellation must be declared in writing and sent by email to the training provider.
Naming substitutes
The participant may, after receiving the registration confirmation, name a substitute in writing prior to the beginning of the seminar.
This change of reservation is free of charge; seminars spanning several days may be transferred only in their entirety, i.e. attended by one substitute.
Date cancellations and date changes
The training provider has the right to change the location of events and/or specify a different date as a substitute. The training provider also reserves the right to cancel dates for organizational reasons (e.g. number of participants too low, illness of the speaker at short notice).
The training provider will notify the participant of the cancellation and of the reason with-out undue delay and will attempt to change the participant's reservation, provided that he agrees to a different date or event location. Otherwise, the full amount of any already paid attendance fee will be refunded in the case of a cancellation; no further claims exist, particularly no refund of travel and/or accommodation cost.
