Recently, the Omani authority Directorate General for Standards and Metrology (DGSM) announced that UL Solutions is the first Notified Body approved for the expansion of the Energy Efficiency scheme, which includes three new product categories — washing machines, water heaters and refrigerating appliances, in addition to air conditioners.
The implementation of the Omani standards (OS 1651/2022, OS 1652/2022, OS 1653/2022) for these three additional product categories will begin on Dec. 8, 2023.
