UL International Demko A/S has been appointed as the Notified Body by the Yemen Standardization Metrology and Quality Control Organization (YSMO) under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Yemen and is authorized to operate the Yemen Energy Efficiency Scheme.
Beginning October 1st, 2024, as per YSMO Board of Directors Decree No. 1/2024, energy labelling and minimum energy performance requirements is now mandatorily implemented in the Republic of Yemen for air conditioning equipment falling into the scope of the standards GSO 2530:2016, ISO 5151 and ISO 13253.
The conformity assessment procedure required by the scheme is a validation performed by a third-party Notified Body appointed by the local authorities.

For products falling into the scope of the Gulf Technical Regulation for Low Voltage Electrical Equipment and Appliances – BD-142004-01 – and included in List (2), UL Demko as GSO appointed Notified Body, can also issue the required pre-requisite G-Mark certificate.
