Consumer Technology Overview Brochure
Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 provide enhanced stability and improved performance, which should be especially noticeable on a network that is supporting a number of Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 devices.
Testing and certification services for Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7
UL Solutions' testing and certification services for Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 devices are designed to support manufacturers at different stages of their product development.
Pre-compliance evaluation – finding potential problems early in the manufacturing process can help avoid costly reworks and their negative impact on a go-to-market strategy. Our experts can evaluate devices to provide insight on issues that could result in compliance challenges and answer your questions about regulatory requirements.
Compliance advisory – Our wireless experts can review your compliance strategy and its alignment to the European and North American regulations that pertain to your product’s Equipment Class and the new requirements specifically for devices operating in the U-NII bands. This process helps you prepare your devices for formal testing, potentially saving you time and costs associated with testing a device that is found not to be fully compliant with regulatory necessities.
Product testing and certification – UL Solutions is an FCC-recognized TCB, EU and U.K. Notified Body and Approved Body, enabling us to help you get your compliant products to market as efficiently as possible. We can test and certify your products, provide any required documentation, and guide you through every step of the process quickly and cost-effectively.
Global Market Access support for Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 devices
UL Solutions is active in the ETSI working group that is developing the new European standard EN 303 687, and our experts are on hand to support testing in our laboratories.
The new standard is not currently harmonized, meaning that Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 products will need a Notified Body under the Radio Equipment Directive and here UL Solutions can assist with our European Notified Bodies and UKCA Approved Bodies.
As devices that support Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 come to market, more countries adopting the extended-spectrum either in full, such as the U.S., or in part, such as the European Union. Our Global Market Access team can support you in understanding the regulations in your target markets.
